LuAG(Ce) Scintillation Crystal
Lutetium aluminum garnet (Ce:LuAG) activated by cerium is a well established scintillating material with the primary advantages of high density (6.73g/cm3) and fast decay (70ns), which is suitable for thin imaging screens. Besides, Ce:LuAG has a high photon yield and a central emission at 510nm that well matched with photodiode and avalanche diode readout. With very good chemical, mechanical and temperature resistance, Ce:LuAG is also an ideal choice for medical scanning systems and high-energy particle detectors.
